Dr. Abhishek Gulati’s journey spans multiple countries; India, Australia, and Japan before settling in Phoenix, Arizona, and eventually Florida. He holds a Bachelor’s in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona and earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University. After completing a residency in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulation, he furthered his expertise with a board certification in Obesity Medicine from Columbia University. Dr. Gulati follows the osteopathic philosophy, focusing on holistic care and the body’s natural ability to heal. He emphasizes the importance of fitness, dietary adjustments, and mental health while recognizing the need for medication when necessary. Dr. Leila Shafiq is passionate about providing high-quality, personalized care to adults. A Tampa native, Dr. Shafiq earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of South Florida.
During her clinical training she recognized a crucial gap in preventative care for seniors, many of whom were hospitalized for conditions that could have been avoided with thoughtful, proactive primary care.Motivated by these experiences, Dr. Shafiq has made it her mission to champion the 5 M’s of geriatrics—Mind, Mobility, Medications, Multi-complexity, and what Matters most.
Outside of work, Dr. Shafiq enjoys baking, running, and collecting vintage vinyl records.

Started with Dr Gulati in January. I am so pleased with the staff they are all patient and kind and Dr Gulati Is Definitely one if the Doctor I have dealt with. His professionalism and bed side manners are excellent. This office get a 10 from me.
When coming from out of state trying to find a new primary office and needing refills I was discriminated against by one of their doctors and then bullied by another. Unbelievable not exaggerating. Anyway, then I found TGH by Greenbook and I’m thanking God I found Dr. Leila she really listened to me and I can tell when people are genuinely listening. She looks like a Disney princess and I’m very happy to have her she owned her license she’s smart beautiful and brave. I want to stay in her care because I know I will be safe and taken care of.
My wife and I had our first visit with Dr. Shafig. She spent an hour with us not only documenting our history but asking questions to understand us, not just data on our chart. She is personable and knowlegeable. We are very comfortable that we finally have a PCP and staff that is quarterbacking our Healthcare.
I have been seeing Sr Shafiq for about two months now and I absolutely love her. She gave me so much time on my first visit that I was stunned because you don’t get that anymore. It was so nice to actually talk to the doctor and ask questions. Dr Shafiq is very thorough. She also listens and I have not once felt rushed. I am thrilled to be in this practice. I really like their approach regarding my care and it js comforting to know a doctor is always on call! The office staff is also very pleasant and they make one feel comfortable. This practice is a 10 plus in my book!
